Change interval on C5 RS6 was every 30K by the way. And, Audi Care used to go 75K instead of 65K, until I guess someone woke up that they were covering the belt job. No surprise, a year or so after the belt interval went to 75K, the 75K/7th year step to AudiCare went away. And price went up, not down. My 2010 MY 1.6TDI Manual states cambelt replacement interval is every 200,000 miles or 300,000 Kms without any time limit !
2010 Jetta TDI timing belt replacement. Just found out my belt will cost between $800 to $1,000 parts n labor at my dealership which sounds about right from what I've been reading on the subject. Also just had the ECM recall done and now I'm averaging 43 mpg city/highway combined burning 2% bio ultra low sulfur fuel.
The car has just over 90,000 miles on the clock and according to the service history the belt has not yet been changed. The dealer sells quite a few Audis and insists that this won't need to be done until approx. 114,000 miles. I would have thought this is quite high mileage without a change.
