In 1997, immediately after the Oxygene Tour, Jean Michel Jarre was commissioned by the Mayor of Moscow to give a spectacular civic-event concert for the Citys 850th anniversary. The concert, which was held in front of the imposing architecture of the State University of Moscow Red labels edition. An uncredited female Chinese announcer speaks before the start of "The Overture", and again before "Arpegiator". "Fishing Junks At Sunset" is a new arrangement of the traditional Chinese song "Fisherman's Song at Dusk" (the title is sometimes translated as "Fisherman's Chant at Dusk"), but there is no acknowledgement of this on this release artwork. Les Concerts en Chine is a live album by Jean-Michel Jarre, recorded in 1981 and released in 1982 on Disques Dreyfus. It was recorded during Jarre's Concerts in China tour of Autumn 1981, which consisted of five Beijing and Shanghai concerts in China; this was the first time a Western pop artist performed in China after the Cultural Revolution.
